I got what I think must be 10 ac fairly quickly - and it hasn't helped at all yet. Without giving the game away - it seems to be the name of a town in Lincolnshire - and that won't help you at all. And also I may be completelt-y wrong about it being the theme, although it sounds as if it is. I'm sure I must have made things worse for you.

I've only got fourteen left (although two are a little difficult to fully justify) and I haven't found anything odd

I thought I understood the theme, which applied to all words, not just the ten, but I clearly don't, as 17A has a K in it!

I think I've finished it - just not happy about a couple of them

Based on 10A, I thought three letters were to be removed from the grid, but I now have two normal clues with K's in, Am I not on the right track?
