How do you parse Larry.

29a is Oupas.

L(ondon)+ (h)arry. As happy as!

West end of London = L + arry (look up in Chambers).
I had more trouble with the definition.

What is Oupas please?!
I have a complete grid but only twelve clashes...was assuming one clash in each column and row but have two rows with two and three with none.

At 34a I have gran and no idea why!

34a has a clash ...clued answer is gean (cherry) then you discard the E and save the R

Sunray / Lumen 29a is oumas and not oupas. Vosgian (French) for "or" (ou) and Midi (French) for "farm" (mas) gives South African grandmothers.
