After 11d, I changed 8ac, then 21d, then ...I'm struggling with changing 19 ac - nothing seems to fit. the only possibility seems to then give two letters in 5d which aren't near enough in their clue.
Is there a misprint in 13 Down ? Picked Rex out of various painters. I wondered if it should be pRicked? Also if someone could give me a nudge for Somehow little sail takes fastenings for the extra sail, I'd be very grateful, as it's holding me up. Thanks.
Hi Samovar, 13D is okay, the definition is 'pricked' as in plants having spines. 2D took me a little while also. I'm still unsure of the parsing, but try anagram of 'takes' and the outside letters of 'sail'
I've changed the last two letters in 19a which gives last 2 letters being changed in 5d - which are close enough in the clue. It's only the down clues that have the triples. But I'm not finished yet so....
