I think the last letter of 65A is definitely 'T' as it is also the last letter of:

45D Grower's primary task or intention grasped by child (2,5)

for which I have TO PLANT (PLAN inside TOT)

However, I have scoured various Scots dictionaries and found no reference to DOTTIT!

I've found it useful on a number of occasions!

We thought that is what one does to the letter i : dot it, and from there daft is usually 'dottit' in our house!
