Greetings from the lower division. After three successive weeks when I failed to complete this one proved to be the easiest to date. Judging by previous posts this seems to be an accepted view. I do so enjoy easier clues (there was scarcely a googly in site) and a more challenging theme.

First one is two notes in order

Second one is row as in argument

A very high pitched singer with the first 3 letters removed

Hi Peoples; - 24 can be parsed only via the preamble...
so I'm puzzled as to whether to use the noun or the verb 3rd pp?
Plz, anyone advise on the suggested syntax as I believe both may be considered grammatically correct?
