Thanks Orson and Muraria for the bottom B - silly me had the wrong ending for 36d. So I have now changed 3 of the Bs to Cs but am struggling with the 6 letter one beginnning with N. none of the possible letter combinations seem to produce a C.

The N one changes to one beginning with an I.

Hi there, can someone please help me with 21d: Rustic men enthralled by a concentrated period of indulgence (6)

The first word in the clue is the definition. The 'men' are a much-used (over-used?) abbreviation in crosswords, inside a word for a concentrated period of indulgence. (PS I think I got this one from gathering the 16 letters, and then worked backwards).

Thanks so much malone and muraria. Malone you weren't unhelpful! I'd already had the F as a removed letter. It was the OR for men that threw me!
