Belated thanks, Chrise (I've been out). Have finished it, I think, but still can't see the two letters missing in 21A ( I assume the name of the girl is the same as the princess?).

21a Someone gave a good clue earlier - but try putting the word 'to' before the first word in the clue.

Not quite the same as the princess. Look back at the hints I was given

susank
It parses as a complicated subtractive anagram &lit, but it would be easier to get it from a word search such as

Thank you. As ever, so obvious when you finally see it.

I think I have the answer but can't explain 3 of the letters. O, I, S. Any suggestions?

It's an anagram of "insects a bit not" without ("forgetting") the letters of "ant".

Many thanks barratter. I'd got that it was an anagram of insects and bit and wondered where the ant came in. All is explained.
Just the NE corner to finish and 21 across!
