Sunray, the 'head' has been given - check the earlier entries here.

If you'd like help with any of those that you are listing, please give the clues! Some people here don't have a copy of the crossword, but could still help.

Would anyone happen to know of a way to get the IQ online? I am out of the UK at the moment, but there seems to be no way of getting a printable version.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Sorry, buzzermaster, I don't think there is a way to get the Inquisitor online.

PS. I don't know if it's a good idea to post your email address online.

hi malone, our posts crossed. I did acknowledge nana for head.

Good point on posting the clue.

Extra letters now spell 9,3,5,8,3,7.
The message does not clarify anything for me.

I thought the last word would be the same as the title. But I get a D for 34D.
Pole going round in pain in Paris? Right (5)
Three letter word for Pole reversed in three letter word for pain, with last letter of pole being extra.

I think 1a means enigma or riddle and 13 means ditto.

I need HINTS on these. May have an extra letter in wordplay.
2d. One's travel assistant (4) ?A?E or AA?E

15a. It is not clear about 6 and Georgia's old party leader (5)
?I?EL. 6 could be VI . Could be NIGEL but how?

4d. First edition finished (4) Seems like a 4 letter word for finished. Cannot parse.
28d, Are leaderless group about to make inroads? (3) E?T

22a. Is the answer hidden in the clue? What is the def?
Backing more police shows? On the contrary (3) P?O

Thanks.

suray, Google your message and it will become clear.

28d - "are" is "a". I think the second letter of 2d is I but I cannot parse the answer. In fact there is a lot of answers I cannot fit to the word play. Eg I think 27d is FASTER but the clue makes little sense.

22a - the answer is hidden in the clue but there is an extra letter that needs to be removed.

I'm struggling with the bottom third of the grid.

Thanks orson.

Let me know which ones. I have the last 5 rows done.
I can help you with those.

I agree with you. Many do not parse well.
I have 37D because of crossers. But I don't understand where I paint comes from.
I have faster but not the parsing.

Sunray, as Orson says, do a google on the mesage and you will see the source and subject of your quote.

15A is NIGEL: NL stands for non liquet (it is not clear) about (V)I +GE

2D is A + (R)IDE
