Well I've finally finished - held up by having a partially parsed BACKSIDE for 26a (a wordsearch required for the correct answer - never heard of it!) - but I'm still only seeing 2 across themed undefined answers.

The tense looks wrong to me, cymro.

G'day ChrisE - re 26A, it helps if you're Scottish!

Morning
I'm another who cheated on 26 and can only find 5 themes unless, as Simon suggested I count 5 itself. Not too happy if that's the case but I'll wait for someone to enlighten us!

Thanks loverman - I had assumed it was US slang.

cymro - yes, it's the tense of a verb, a single letter change would fix it.

Can't see four down 5s, I'm afraid.

Loverman - re 3d, have you seen Scorpiojo's hint earlier in the thread (somewhere around #12)

Can other people who have found six 5s say if they've included 5 itself (as Loverman has)

5 can't be one - it isn't undefined ("bed").

I'm wondering if 6, 14, 15 or 22 has a meaning I'm not familiar with!
