Have struggled through this and think my answers must be right but would love some help parsing a couple of them:
14d We're not enjoying this first sign of love in heart of sycophant(10). Taking sycophant as the definition, and with the other letters I've got, I've got a synonym beginning with B, but haven't a clue why.
22d Polish side-switching is repellent. As above I've got an answer that fits and means repellent, but no idea why.

Like others I can find only 5 undefined clues, three down and two across

Hi snowdrop
14 starts with an expression of disapproval, then first of love in a slang term for heart
22 swap hands (though it's not entirely clear which answer should be entered)

Thanks Chris. Should have got the first one but still find the second a bit dubious.

After last Saturday's theme and now this I dread to think what we'll get next week :-)

Thanks to you all with your hints. I was pleased when I got Bottom straight away. Now Chrise tells me it was a write in!

Anyway, I'm stuck on some of the right hand side. Can anyone give some hints for 6d and 18ac? I've only got 3 down bottomsand 1 across so far.

Sorry about that, roof - but it is amazing how many "play" references in crosswords are to "A midsummer night's dream".

6d Defintion is"paper" sort of - an expert knows his....?
18 Second part is a sounds like for a type of hooter, first part is nearly a word for funny backwards.

Thanks again Chrise
I'd never heard of 6 down and I've got the first part of 18ac. I'll struggle on with the hooter sound. But I have now got another bottom. Hurrah!

Hello!

I'm struggling with a few of these today;

[14a] I can't see at all
[6d] is a stinker

and [2a] is beyond me!

Help?
