Me too.
I've just realised I'm wearing a purple top. Not with a red hat though!

My grandmother used to tell me off for wearing jeans in my early teens because " it wasn't ladylike".
I live in them now, over 50 years later!

I can't recommend denim jeans - uncomfortable, particularly when they get wet. I'm amazed at the number of people I see out walking wearing them. There are much better fabrics available now.

I agree, Chris.
Jeans are awful things.
I would not have a pair in my wardrobe!

The introduction of lycra has made a great difference for us 'ladies'.

When I had a 24 hour monitor in hospital, she told me to put the box thing "in your knickers". It only occurred to me afterwards, do they always say that and, if so, where had it been?
Chrise, I wear jeans to walk in. Which fabrics are better? Not wearing Lycra, too revealing.

Rosalind
I meant the adding of lycra to denim to make the jeans stretchy!

Hi rosalind
There are cotton based fabrics, including some waterproof ones, pioneered by the Rohan company - though there are lots of much cheaper ones now available. Check out Mountain Equipment. If they get wet, they dry in minutes (so long as it stops raining!)

I've never seen anyone who looked good shrink-wrapped in Lycra (I always think "human sausages"), but then of course I've never met rossim.
