6 now - so looking very likely chris

Yes, I've just added a sixth (that one NOT on my shelves!)

i googled them and looked for what might fit my clues and grid!

My 7 are all the same sex - according to scorpiojo there are 3 across in the bottom half!

I think I must have one of my answers there wrong - but they all seem to parse alright. Stumped!!

I have the three across in the bottom half, but not the one in the top. I'm also missing a down one - these are all in the top, I think

chris - the across one in the top is a "fat lady"!!

Need a BIG hint - is 26across one of the 8? If so I think I've got the wrong answer and will have to think again.

Can't see what other lower half across answer would fit the bill.
