Ah - support `aid` . I was looking for something like a prop ! I can go off on completely the wrong tangent.

Any help - I am stuck on 19 down, probably obvious but it just won't come. I have an O second and an A fourth. Incidentally what a mess this grid is, not helped by one clue giving the wrong total of letters. There is no excuse, as RT use a limited range of grids.

any of various yellow or white field flowers, especially the English daisy.

Hi Jazzgirl. In post 13 you give the answer to 24ac as ontop. Is this a misprint as I have an anagram of "two" for the second word?

Hi Wally, Jazzgirl is busy so I`m here instead! I too thought the word was `tow` but was told afterwards that the down word is `fox`. Hence `on top`. Mags.

Hang on - "tow" is fine then - what I had before !
Ignore what I just wrote ! I prefer `tow`, Mags.

pot(vessel) and no.(number) both reversed
