I have just had a quick look, jolan. I can see 1 and 5.

House needs restocking after holiday, so I have to go shopping now - hope to look in later.

After failing miserably last week, I'm pleased that I have 1 & 5 this week. Think I may have 4 but not convinced.

Supposed to be cleaning my blinds.....but can't resist a peek......

hi Jolan, I've only just returned from a late lunch. Finding your clues very tricky and all I have is #1 and #5.

I've been looking at no4 for ages now, I'm sure I will kick myself when I see the answer.

I'm only sure of #1 and #5 but I'll put something down for each of them as I fluked one last week.

I've got #1 now. It's not an expression I'd heard of but I got it from the wordplay.

I'm pretty certain I've got #4. If I'm right only one to go!

Thanks Jolan for another treat. I rarely get to participate on Tuesdays and this was a challenging pleasure.

4. Enemies and reserves turn to roughed out weapons? (2,7,5)- at daggers drawn?

Reserves (TA) turn – at , with “daggers drawn” roughed out weapons – at daggers drawn - enemies

5. Lacking pollen, the Papuan root-cell developed a fruit produced by self-fertilization (8) – autocarp?

Anagram of “Papuan root cell” without “pollen” is autocarp - a fruit produced by self-fertilization.
