I thought I was doing well this week. One remaining `Foreign fan of sports team the French holds mobile phone` Even the earlier hints here do not help me. I think I have every second letter and nothing helpful comes from Quick Solve and this makes me think some of the across ones are indeed wrong.

Hope no one stranded because of all the flooding. Jazzgirl has your garden survived?

Hello Mondrian
I see you have done well with the RT. The word you are looking for is an anagram of phone + le(french)+ xi (eleven for the team)
The garden is not too flooded, but the fierce winds last night knocked a few things over, but this morning all is calm, and a new visitor to the peanuts - a beautiful Jay. Hope you are safe and sound in your part of the World. J
