Well deserved Les and good word from jws - even though it had been done before .
At least the curry went down well :)
A good weekend to all .

Well done Les.
I decided that your clue was the best before I went out this morning and was pleased that so many had voted for you by the time I got home.
It just shows that although I can't write a very good clue I know one when I see one.

Just watched the clip (not the beer one)..Ooh Matron!
I'm sure I'll work out the Vaughan Williams connection eventually, when I've been to Asda

Just being silly, Rosalind. I don't really think that Ralph wrote the song she was singing; English music has evolved considerably since his time. :)

Just got back.

Thanks everyone for voting for me, and jws for the clip, apparently 'Dogging' is so called because when the craze started, people used to take a dog lead with them to the regular sites of secluded car parks etc in case the police arrived, so that they could merely disband from the covert meeting saying they were looking for their dog.
Looking forward to setting next week's word.

aristo, thanks for the virtual beer, as you may know, I don't drink, however, on this occasion I will make a toast and enjoy virtually downing it. It would be rude not to. Thanks

No, I didn't know, Les. The guys on this site often say "I'm off to the pub now," so I thought it might be a sort of prerequisite for British puzzlers.
