Yipee! That's it over with for another year! This is the first day of the rest of my life!
Started with Christmas shopping mid-November. Back to reality. Heading for the hills ...after the big clear-up...
Happy New Year!

Yippee too! I agree with Wendy Cope's Christmas Poem-
"And the whole business is unbelievably dreadful,if you're single."
I'm off to my wood (a very small one) to check no one is committing genocide on last April's bambis or indeed on any haggis running round.
R, Oxford where it is sort-of sunny

A Guid New Year to everyone and thanks for all the help received over the last year - from a very sunny but only 4 degrees Aberdeenshire coast!

Hi Wendy, HNY to you, too
Think the bones are fine, thanks, and the scars are fading. The damaged nerves may take many months to recover, if ever, apparently. But I'm so lucky it wasn't my eye or brain damage (though some might have a different take on that!)
I'm left with huge admiration for those who work for the NHS, in spite of all the difficulties

Hi Joker. What's the plural for Haggis? Haggi perhaps. Is there a collective noun? Maybe an offal? Happy new year

JWS
The collective noun is the same as that of Pochards,Teal or Wigeons.

It is a Haggis Knob.
