"B" - litmus paper(in my head) is loosely a dye test(anag of the final letters from 1-7)

I reckon the "ends" in B are the last letters of 1 - 7. Its an anagram.

May I just recap?

A is an anagram of the middle letters of 1-7?

B is an anagram of the end letters of 1-7 with the first word being an anagram of 2, 3 and 4?

I had the d wrong, but agree with mog that 2,3,4 are the anagram of the first word.
Now 7 has to be changed.Still haven't found A
