As Ash and Nora are the moderators, we should accept "the judges' decision as final" as regards which posts they decide to remove.
There will always be a clash of personalities within any organization.
Perhaps have a yellow card/red card system as in football if too much foul play by any one player :)

It's all very well (and true) to say that phil peppered his posts with insults. But as I remember it he was receiving lots of replies containing just as bad. It wasn't a case of phil going on and on by himself or to himself. It seems to me that some people stoke the fire and then complain when it gets hot.

I personally did not responded to these posts...

Possibly that's why he "went off on one"and got very personal.

I feel I could have reported it but didn't.

I love a bit of banter and persiflage, but he was way out of line.

I could have really upset me, but didn't!I refuse to take this seriously.

I don't want to fall out with anyone.

pastille, you cannot force people to have good manners, (sadly), I suspect that maybe for some of them, abusing people online anonymously is a way of letting off steam, and less dangerous for them than face to face where they might get a a slap. terry as was, I'm sure it doesn't give anyone carte blanche to use offensive words like those mentioned. I that sort of abuse is used, then we sahould all report it, as there is no place for it here.
