Phew - what a sod! Usually the Spectator is a good work-out for the weekend ahead, but this was about as tough as it gets - for me at least! Easy enough to get the general drift, but if you were as slow as me to pick up the literal (literary?) reference, it was a long slow haul - but a very enjoyable one. Stuck for a long time on 5D, because I didn't know what "E" might have stood for. I'll certainly remember next time!
