I just have first lettr in 27d to get -can make nothing of the clue. Then the word to change. Some of the clues are a bit devious, I thought.

Finished - that was good. Wish I really could do the changing referred to!

Yes, I've gone through and through the grid, teenieleek - I'm seeing squares, not spots, in front of my eyes.

AJT - look where 26ac would be. I hate raking through grids as well.

teenieleek - think Clinton!
I'm still pondering on 21a and "26a" on this puzzle!

Finished! Well, I've still to track down 'the fifth relevant word'. I think I've got it, but don't get 'must be changed appropriately (creating several new answers, all real words).' If my grid's complete and if I have the word (in my case, a four letter word, in the middle of the grid), can I just stop here?!

Thank you teenieleek and Sudokulover. I was looking in completed words rather than the grid as a whole. Done.

What do you think - another grid, or rewrite it at the side?
