Who is the setter for D? Lavatch? The uber-preamble says that the setter's name appears in all 5 grids, doesn't it?

Also missing B-4d, B-13a; I am not seeing how the 3 unclued lights in B connect to the thematic unclued lights. Gentle nudges appreciated.

teenieleek, you're OK on 21d, which is thematic.

rosie,

8a ?E???R (the I is not part of this word)

"worried" is an anagram indicator; the girl's name is a rather old fashioned one.

14a Conformists assess how long the waiting takes
(11) ???VER?

A double def, one sort of cryptic. Think of another word for the waiters in a restaurant, and what you'd do if you wanted to see how long it took them to bring your food.

29a, Your E should be an A
