Should have been home on Friday ,was looking forward to my paper on Saturday but spent three days in Dubai instead because of flight delays due to floods ! Have nearly finished but It is good to be home!

A late contribution: it takes us to this point of the week to solve the prize. This one really was a cut above. Has anyone ever raised the possibility of the chat group recognising the best crosswords of the year? This would be one of ours.
