Posted before Chrise's reply and now all done. 1d is very good in fact. A great way to end with my LOI.

Like others can't pick a COD but 11a would be up there. Thanks Picaroon for an enjoyable morning either side of a walk by the sea in the fabulous sunshine.

rogissimo, the first thing I think of whenever the (newish) setter of 29,361 appears is the relevant anagram. Which is odd because I've never paid any attention to the media personality. 😕

geeker, I had never noticed the anagram/reversal before today. I also have never paid attention to the contemporary personality, although the person in question sometimes seems ubiquitous even on this side of the Pond, so I suppose they are fair game for a Guardian cryptic 🙄😉
