As said didn't think it was too bad, but I've only been doing them for a few weeks. For some reason things clicked today as I got the long ones almost straightaway.

AJT - I have now - spent a pleasant afternoon on it. Not too bad this week, like Clevertask I was able to get the long clues early which always helps!Just a query about 28d - not quite sure of the wordplay - if someone could explain please??

I have AMAH too, but don't really get why. Ah is object? What is "I do" for? The MA for Massachusetts didn't even cross my mind- and I live there!

Marginally prefer amah now(though ayah is a better fit for the definition) - though, embarrasingly I arrived at it by poor logic - would have been fairer to make the m/y a crossing letter as was done with 2d k/p to distinguish variants.
