Thanks F.F. My partner got the answer when I passed on your clue. I've been doing Rainbow quizzes for around 12 years now but still can't get over how obvious an answer seems when it turns up after hours and hours of mental strife. We're down to the last 10 now so will battle on but might come back to this site if inspiration fails.

Down to last 3 now but trying all possible angles on them still comes up with nothing.

Does anyone out there have a definite answer for 10 please? I've thought of one that fulfills the criteria of a starting letter, followed by the recognised abbreviation for lake and then a bird (a wading one) but I can't reconcile it to 'one of the earliest fliers'. If I could nail that one, I might have an idea as to what the other 2 start or end by.
Any suggestions that might guide me along the right path re 10 so that I can move on to the other 2 would be much appreciated please. I'd be happy to reciprocate with similar guidance re any other question (save 33 and 46).

no.10 - you are totally on the right track. The answer is not a bird or a plane or .... but a person.
I also have the answers for 33 and 46 if you are interested but badly need help with 19, 22, 34 and 77.
