Still reall y struggling with 48.. can't get "hag" out of my head for grubby, untidy woman..any hints greatly appreciated..ta in advance!

50. Begins with A then a vessel with an incomplete cereal inside. Answer is a fruit

Sorry 48 ENDS in A (not begins) oh what a silly mistake.
Bruno - good evening - The only one I have solved is 66..... Word for hostile with the initial letter missing gives you the strong alcohol
