I have all answers apart from 37ac. I have LE?S?O? and I guess that this is the proper noun (unless that is 8down), but I can't find a fit. Have I the correct letters?

kookaburra - a few hints: 4a is an anagram, 27a think of the tv advert - simples 40a is an anagram, 1d when do you need a rod?
