It's just not cricket! By the time I step up to the crease for my stint, all the babblers have called stumps and I can't join in the chat. It's enough to make one quail. At least I won't be scoring a duck like a silly galah. That would be hard to swallow. Life's a bustard!

I think it was Helena who had this one.....the bird that sounds like fuel in an engine is a PETREL, a kind of sea bird.
