Probably missed off for a reason with so long to go and now it will go the way it always goes on here till almost all of it is asked

Royalty, overwhelmed by duty, got reserves for scholastic tasks (8,5)

Working towards "playtime rotas" but can't parse it fully. "Reserves" might be TAs, so that leans towards rotas for the second word. Comments. please.

Could "reserves" be BENCH?

Think of duty as a tax around an abbreviation for royalty and another word for reserves.

Why not just say it is the new Rainbow Quiz "The Learning Curve"?
Are you trying to hide something or is there some big secret about it?

Some of us on this site take a dim view of people seeking help for this quiz when it still has over 2 months left to run. What is more, the title of the thread is clearly an attempt to disguise the fact that it is the
excellent Rainbow Charity quiz, thus lulling some people into a false sense of belief that this some sort of minor local quiz.

Loverman, it's always good to give the title of the quiz - those of us who want to have the pleasure of doing the Rainbow Quiz over the next couple of months don't really want long lists of answers given away! If the proper title is given, the solvers who don't want 'help' (in all its guises) can avoid the thread completely.
