Thanks mildred that makes sense now.
Myops has a habit of having one solution which could easily be two similar words. There was a Christmas edition a couple of years ago when one of the answers could have been either DONNER or DANCER. I emailed the crossword department and they were very quick to come back and say that either would be accepted!
