Hi Sunray. I was wondering where everyone was for this one. I too think 1d is LIGHT (flights without the ends), but cannot help with10d. I have about half of the grid filled and, as yet, 22 misprinted replacements. Not making too much sense yet.

So 14ac begins with HC...What's that about?

1st 2 initials; followed by surname.

Thanks ginge, I'd thought of that, but I don't think I know anyone with initials of Christian names HC.

Going slightly mad.
Have completed grid, all misprinted letters etc. and think I know what to do for the first instruction. Can't for the life of me figure out what to do in the ringed cells though. Clue anyone?
