29 D. Baby's violent wind leaving nothing to the imagination

The 'wind' is 7 letters and you drop the 'o', nothing. You'll have a word that means 'baby' (verb) and is also something a baby would need!

Help please with how the shaded work.... mostly filled in but no ideas how they connect....

In the first of the pair, the longer word is the grid entry plus a few letters at the end. In the second of the pair the longer word is the grid entry plus a few letters at the beginning.

Add the extra letters of the first to the extra letters of the second.
This gives the names of seven 'somethings'.
