Hi jogamel - 22d, take the letters of sun out of measurement and then it's an anagram to make a word that means segment.

For 23d use tit for twerp, anagram of tree and r for runs.

Scottish words are difficult. Is 35a Scottish answer for shackle?

Hi sunray - Scots is the word that needs to be removed. Shackle is the definition. Republican = R and O is removed from the entry. The military force is a word beginning with L.

Good morning Orson and Sunray. I am on the last leg but need a hefty shove if you are there. 36a: a quarter of Oban in quest of favourite films (5) I have ?R?ET (is there no letter to leave out?)
And guidance for 25a I can't do without either!
