Actually, what got me was someone complaining that he/she had nothing to do now that the quiz was finally finished!
(after asking everyone for the answers, instead of spending the time working them out!)
I remember seeing a thirty minute theatre ages ago (or did I hear it on the radio?) where a new employee was upset that an older colleague just sat and did the crossword all morning, until it was explained to him that a completed Times crossword left in the entrance hall was an important sales advantage. Every morning subsequently he then made his way down his commuter train every morning asking all his fellow travellers in turn "I've just got one left - could you help me with.....", thus able to hand in the completed puzzle as he arrived at the office.
At least OP announced that this was the Rainbow Quiz; often it's not made explicit.
