Sorry, Titus, got mixed up with the names, but pleased to report I have solved 17, so thanks for the help. Have you done 28? Just can't get any idea at all.

Thanks Marmalade for the elementary hint. Fits with the answer I first thought of when I looked at the clue just couldn't get me head around the numbers.

28 - one of many I still have to do. Trying to find a word for strong broth!.

Shazza60 - you helped me earlier to finish the quiz, so perhaps I can reciprocate somewhat.

For 22, think of the normal abbreviation for "Fellow", then Google "London's Lost Rivers" and look up the definition of the remaining letters in its name!

Titus - (28) If you have ever received correspondence from the House of Commons, the logo on its letterhead should help you! Hope this helps.

shazza60 - re 15 - You can enter a certain sporting facility in London NW8 through this, while admiring that great beard!!

Re 47 - How the compiler describes himself, take the second part of the clue literally, then add a good Scots first name (not Douglas!!)

Fingers crossed. Best regards. Doug.
