Apologies AJH - I had already put it in an envelope and was getting two clues mixed up. Teenieleek is of course right. What does not help with the unclued answers is that some are in English and others are in Danish.

Thanks Sudokulover. Chambers gives bar for stave, there's the musical connection, and apparently t-poles. Even so I can't see how it hangs together.

T-bar is in Chambers, so I think that's the Bar bit of the clue, along with Saves/keeps.
