And in the cold light of morning, having checked the capacity of the bottle, thank Goodness it is not a gin bottle after all!!

What a struggle !! Am having the same problem as notrab had with the second 4-letter word of the instruction. Gitto had 'your' but by my reasoning that can't be right as 36A gives 'D' from 'TOAD' as the incorrect letter. Am i correct or am I barking up the wrong tree ?
I have the bottle with the backward sprite occupying it so presumably I highlight the bottle and erase its contents , Cheers !

uncle w, I had tool for an awful person rather than toad, hence the O.

Not that it mattered but I stuck with toad and D and thought that the resulting DOUR well described the achievement!

Many thanks to all posters who have got me as far as I need but not as far as I want! 19 squares identifI'd and grid filled. But I cannot see the middle word of the instruction. Last word definitely. First word probably. But middle word not at all. Is the first letter in 16?

Deulc. I have YOUR as the second word of the message with the Y coming from 35.

Spent ages trying to identify 19 cells when the instruction seemed to point to an obvious 14. Got it now. Nice theme.

Is erasing the bottle's contents correct, uncle_W? Surely the achievement is getting the contents back in there?

I also think the contents should stay. I identified the bottle and contents in different but appropriate colours.
