Congratulations Mattrom
Cheers Skyewalker

The only connection I can find is the misspelling of beetles and monkeys.

I'll put you all out of your misery because the connection is quite obscure. Both songs were written by Andy Partridge (who was also the singer/pianist in the first clip).

Thanks Skyewalker I knew you would do a great job.
Well done (again) Mattrom

Ontarians have an annoying habit of adding eh? to sentences particularly questions.
M + ole (bravo) = Mole eh?

Hi FieryJack.

The Monkees album is a new one from this year, repeating the formula of using well-established songwriters' contributions along with the occasional self-written number.

Besides usual suspects Neil Diamond, Goffin & King etc., there's one by Noel Gallagher and Paul Weller, and songs written by blokes from bands I'm less familiar with (Weezer, and Death Cab for Cutie).

The makers of the animation have certainly used some poetic licence in including the late Davy Jones in the video. On the album, he does make one appearance, as they've resurrected a couple of previously unreleased tracks.

When I was 11 years old I didn't realise there was such a thing as a "manufactured" group. Suppose they were the original "boy band".

Thanks for your faith, Dorrien. I was a little apprehensive at being the sole judge and jury. :)
