There's a limited number of synonyms for "Hitchhiker" and your clue is different from mine in every other way, so feel free to use "freeloader" if it makes the clue more readable.

Hi folks,

I've now been through all the clues and quite a few had tricky wordplay which keeps me on my toes.

However, before I pick the winner, could the following 3 clues be parsed.

ixion 25. I see the 'Hiker' and that the Def is the whole thing but can't get 'Hitch' from the " Lacking energy, advanced?

pigale 31. I see the Def but not getting the second 'thumb' reference.
Is it a cryptic def?

jws 35. Is it all a cryptic def or is there something in it that I'm missing

Just cryptic def.
