Hello Winnie,
My ancient brain is not doing as well as usual and is being hampered by eye sight deteriorating. However I have now got a large magnifying glass which hangs round my neck from the optician, this makes reading Chambers easier, I wondered if it would help you. I would appreciate some additional help for
Nos 39, 65 & 84 as I have spent a lot of time working on these without solving them. Regards

Just logged onto the forum and see that helpful clues are well under way. Well done everyone. I still have 24 to solve some of which clues have already been given. Could I please have some help with the following (don't think any clues already given):
3. In Paris she was bashful without the poet (7). Is this an anagram?
21. Well's hero sleeps soundly .... (5) ?? Does this refer to HG Wells?
28. Fashionable, foreign kilt designed to appeal to younger women (5,3)
38. ..... As sadly, I have no book to read (7)
42. Travelling fellows, troubled, mean to breathe in (5,3,2,1,4) are the travelling fellows gypsies?
46. Thriller writer with odd earpierce takes stroll by rive (4,6)

There are 9 more but don't want to be greedy so any help with these ones would be great. Many thanks.

I have another another 7 I still need help with, none of which have had clues given as far as I can see. Would u be able to help if I listed them or should I leave them a bit longer? Don't want to upset anyone!!!
