I read the clues several times over the course of the day but was unable to log in. When I finally logged in I couldn't get onto the thread. When I finally got onto the thread I couldn't advance beyond the first page. Infuriating. If I'm late posting tomorrow you'll know why.

A number of doozies. Keep them coming.

chrise: We were at the very edge of the storm and only got about five inches of snow. Just south of here there was more than a foot, and my sister-in-law in Virginia said they had forty inches! Our biggie was the blizzard of '78, when we got more than four feet.

I know it’s my own fault for choosing a twenty-letter answer to clue, but there’s a great deal of fodder-checking to do.

ginge: Could you help me out with your clue @23? I love the use of Dioscurides and Galen but can’t seem to make it work, and am feeling dense. Could anyone else explain?
