No haven't got either of those ones. Just had fish and chips, large glass of wine and Irish coffee with friends so things a little hazy! Will try to clear my head or look again in the morning but thanks for clues...Any you need?

Lizzie An American truncheon Still wrestling with 14, so irritating, I know it's obvious, like a lot of them. Have thought of old everything! It will come to me eventually

Hi Twinsnan
Have you got a Chambers dictionary? If so, try looking up 'old' and look particularly at any of the phrases in that entry that could relate to Chelsea pensioners.

Lizzie it's also a pontoon like game of cards...in my Collins dictionary...also a small oak tree. These old chaps are making me tired too, think I will also leave it till morning. Not as if it's the only one I need by a long shot. We'll both awake refreshed tomorrow!
