Enjoyed this one. Having completed the substitutions I can find 5 names, is that correct?

The one beginning with N is absent.

The 6th is found from following the "thematic features of the Class 1 clues" as per the preamble. Not needed for a correct grid, but a remarkable feature of the puzzle's construction.

I've finished the puzzle - very nice, and my favourite clue was 28 - but I don't understand the title.

Think of it as a clue for the family name

I've got a full grid, and I have the name of the poet , but I can't spot the words in the grid.

Could someone point me in the right direction?

Is the verse from "How to Get on in Society" ??

look down the central column & google those 2 words along with the family name.

Absolutely loved this — the grid fill, all parts of the end game (especially that pdm with the couplet) and the title.
