Which ones Nikki?
The only one I've not seen before is P used to mean Par (13d). Is it golf?
Maybe I've gone wrong.

Do you mean 13d, Albert - which is an anagram ... or 16d where the PA = secretary.

Can anybody help with 17a, please. I have p*e*, and it seems to be one of the twelve clues which need "the treatment".

I was asking if the letter P is a common abbreviation for the word Par.
I've entered Appelling. I'd originally put Appalling.

APP(ARE)LLING, change ARE (land measure) to A for APPALLING.

Thank you Kilgore Trout, I couldn't find that abbreviation either, difficult one to google.

Having finished this I am happy with all my solutions, including the 12, apart from 23.

I'm ok with graduate bets, but I'm struggling to parse the remainder to come up with the last two letters. Anyone care to give me a hint?
