Good afternoon, Elle!
It's like a beautiful Spring day here!
Just home, I was along a bit of the Nature Trail for a walk.
Not a soul about.
Good luck with Sainsbury order!
I'm sure it will be fine.
Have you a delivery slot?
I watched "Murder..." this morning.
I won't say anything, other than I am in agreement with what happened.

Hello, Cerasus,
Yes, I am convinced the series is being repeated.
I have only seen several episodes, so I am recording all the "wee small hours" series!

Hi, Rusty!
Well, it's raining here!
A very miserable day.
Yes, I have a delivery slot...I can choose when is most convenient for me, providing, of course , that that particular time slot is available.
My delivery is coming between 1 and 2pm tomorrow.
Now...I am feeling very cross.
You know I ordered some "used" books through Amazon.......
One arrived this morning from World of Books....supposed to be in "Very good " condition.
It was absolutely filthy, Rusty!
Disgusting! I was horrified!
I dropped it back into the packaging, and went to wash my hands!!
I phoned Amazon to see what I should do, and they very kindly offered to contact W. o. B on my behalf.
I am now awaiting further developments.
This is the first time I have encountered such a problem.......
I shall try to watch "Murder" tonight...or possibly tomorrow!

Hello, Elle!
That is not like the World of Books that I know!
I have always found them to be first-class to deal with.
Could you not contact World of Books yourself?
Though, I'm sure Amazon will be on the ball.
I have had eBay do similar for me, and everything turned out satisfactorily.
I remember reading that World of Books buy in their books by weight!
Not a certain amount of books, but a certain weight of books.
"Murder..." was good, and the "Wild Atlantic Way" is on tonight.
Anne is in Clare tonight on her journey.
Wonder if she'll go to Lisdoonvarna?
Pretty sure she will!

Good evening, Rusty!
I, too, have always found World of Books to be an excellent provider of used books.
It is usually top of my list.
But this book is a veritable disgrace!
I did debate whether to contact W.o.B directly, but decided to let Amazon handle it.
Ah , now I know of Lisdoonvarna.......you have told me about this .
There is a matchmaking festival there each year!
Yes, I feel sure that Anne will go there.
It should be very interesting to hear more about it.
My daughter phoned earlier on her way home from work......she has recently got a promotion, and is consequently busier than ever!
She really does work hard.

Good evening, Elle!
You'll be fine with World of Books!
That's right, the matchmaking takes place at Lisdoonvarna.
Willie Daly is the famous matchmaker.
Used to be a great music festival there, too.
That is good news about your daughter!

Hi, Rusty!
I just cannot understand how any member of W.o.B's staff could post off a book in so filthy a condition?
I have put it back into its envelope and dropped the entire package into a polythene bag.....which I then sealed, awaiting judgement!
Then I scrubbed my hands!
This shows you just how dirty the book is!
Annoyingly, I have a second book also due to come from them...I am dreading that it, too, will be in a similar state.
I doubt I shall use that company again.
There are several other firms whose books have arrived in excellent condition.
I am now going to have a coffee and watch "Murder"!

Hello, Elle!
What condition was the book advertised to be?
I think the folk at W o B would be very annoyed to hear of a book as you describe being sent to a customer.
They must have some sort of quality assessment standards to maintain, I'd say.
There are plenty of other book traders, though.
Hope "Murder" appeals to you!

Hi, Rusty!
The book was reported to be in "Very Good" condition.
I rarely buy a book described as being anything less than that.
I should have thought that the packer wouldn't want to handle it , either!
I have a few other "favourite" sellers........I shall buy from them in future.
W.o.B has lost a regular customer, now, I am afraid.
I am halfway through watching "Murder".....I am enjoying it!
But had to stop to do something else.
I am about to go back to it......

Hello, Elle!
Very strange!
A filthy book described as "Very Good".
Seems a bit odd to me.
The packer must have realised it was not "Very Good".
I got an email a few years ago from Julie's Books saying that the book I ordered was not, in their opinion, in a fit condition to sell, and they apologised, and refunded my money.
I have just watched "Wild Atlantic Way".
It was in Clare and I enjoyed it.
On to Galway next week!

Where would I find "Wild Atlantic Way", rusty? I know Clare quite well, and Galway to an extent - we visited Tuam, home of the Saw Doctors, and Cong, home of The Quiet Man!
