I have completed the crossword but am not happy with the parsing of ! down, help appreciated
1 d Clergyman to all, no energy, when away on Horseback (9)
? U ? F ? A ? A ?
I've deduced that horseback is a word for horse reversed and that the solution is a clergyman having administrative and episcopal responsibilities but no jurisdictional area,
usually a Bishop.

Funny you say that, oldyalan - I'm in exactly the same position - I've put a cross beside that one to remind me to look for further explanation (yes, I see the horse!)

It's a call in Solo Whist, meaning "I'll take no tricks", and also a psalm, most well-known in the Allegri setting.

Sorry - you need to add the "regarding" to the call.
