Thank you for enquiring elle, but I've heard nothing since that initial examination & Xrays. I'm still taking very strong painkillers, but this week my swollen feet have been particularly painful. However the sun is shining here so it's not all doom & gloom! On Tuesday I go to another hospital to fit a new hearing aid as mine is so old! The older we get the more "parts" need renewing!!!

Hi, redcoral! that's a shame, I thought you would be started on your course of injections by now....... hope they happen soon.
At least you've got sunshine - very damp here; just back from a decidedly 'poggy' walk with the dog!

Yes, redcoral, sorry about the confusion - I WAS talking about coffee but that reference was to Jazzgirl ( ongoing joke today!)

I'm reading "Charlotte Gray" by Sebastian Faulks. I saw the film a long time ago, but don't recollect its being much like the book?!

Yes I've read the book& seen the film & enjoyed both. I'm reading a long book from my book group choice "The Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett" the interesting part is that it's set in the 11000 of which I know very little. It certainly seems a brutal period!
