It's OK. I've found it!

Could someone please explain the clue at 4 Across?

I have come to this very late, and see you have all completed. So please can someone help me with 9d and 18d? I cannot work out the answers, let alone find the substitutions! I have most of the others.

9d- the substitution is two words 4-4

The original clue is 2 homonyms 9broadcast is indicator)

One means place as building plot and the other is something to do with vision

18d- the sub is 2 words 3-5

The original is an anagram of karatenut and is 3 words 4-1-3

4 across took me awhile to understand. The definition is frames, and it is an anagram (playing) of Soso refs, n (start to need,), and hooker - without the letters "of snooker" .

Still stumped with 35d. I understand the explanations above, for which many thanks, but I've scoured Wikipedia and no way can I find a rabbit that can be converted to anything relevant in the way described.

Let alone come up with anything like ' for ?AM'.

Any further hints?
