I am not buying a new Chambers if it does not have taghairm in it!
I think I have read somewhere that when a new edition comes out, some old, out of use words, are culled from the new one.

Taghairm is shown in Chambers 12th edition, betweem tagetes and tagine . So it mutton-thumper

Well, it TRULY isn't in the 13th, guys!
Chris, thanks for the page references - I can't return the compliment as I don't know how you did it...but in my dictionary, under 'mutton' it goes from 'mutt'on-suet' straight to 'mutton dressed as lamb' - omitting 'mutt'on thumper'!!!!!!
